Fun for all the family in the heart of the country
Indoor Soft Play
Welcome to Ernespie Farm’s Indoor Soft Play. Our ‘Busy Bees’ Soft Play is a multi-level fun and developmental experience for kids of all ages, it really is the bee’s knees!
Our soft play area has it’s own cafe serving all your family favourites, its the perfect spot for a play date with friends.
The Soft Play area is open 7 days a week 10am-5pm.
Admission for under 4’s is £5 and £8 for age 4+.
During Dumfries and Galloway school term time, why not take advantage of after school play? Just £4.00 per child after 3.30pm.
We don’t take any reservations for soft play, tickets can be purchased when you arrive at the front desk. Sometimes it can get quite busy (especially at the weekend and during school holidays), so entry isn’t guaranteed if we are at full capacity.
Busy Bees Soft Play
Slides and ball pools means hours of fun for the kids (and time out for you!). But aside from our Busy Bees Soft Play being great fun, it’s also great for your little ones development. Here’s why…
Children learn two types of motor development – gross motor development and fine motor development.
Gross motor development includes things like running, jumping, skipping and climbing. Fine motor development takes in more delicate tasks, like balancing or moving small things with their hands. Ernespie Farm Soft Play helps children develop both!
Having opportunities to interact with other children is likewise a great way to enhance their emotional development and better understand other children’s emotions.
Soft play is a time when children get to be independent of you and offers a safe place for them to explore the world and start building friendships with other kids.
They’ll also sleep right through the night after all this activity!

Slides and Ball Pools
As well as all the fun and spending time with their peers, ball pools can also encourage cooperative play and social skills when two children are working on an activity in the ball pool together.
Quiet Area
We’ve an additional quieter area for children under the age of 4 with its own slide and sensory toys.
Bespoke Sensory Play
We have bespoke sensory play and it can be found throughout the soft play area.
Sensory play encourages children to engage with the world in a way that helps them grow and develop by creating connections in the brain that allow for increasingly complex thoughts and tasks.
It builds observational skills and abstract thinking and encourages experimentation while also supporting language development, cognitive growth, fine and gross motor skills, and helps hone their social skills too.
Sensory play can help with their mindfulness skills, while calming children that might be feeling anxious or angry.
